Not a bad cutter, before that I bought a Forstner cutter from CMT, but the price there was 2 times more expensive, I switched to HD, and I don’t regret it yet.

Carbide drill bits HD Woodworking tools for drilling machines are widely known and popular in Europe today. Due to the high quality and reasonable price, many furniture companies use HD Woodworking tools in various production areas. Solid carbide drill bits have a standard 10 mm shank and are available in two standard lengths 57 mm and 70 mm. We offer a range of drill bits for drilling for furniture fittings.

Types of drill bits for a drilling machine

There are 3 main types of carbide drill bits for drilling machines:

  1. Through hole drill bit - are used in cases where you need to drill through the workpiece without chipping. For example, under a furniture handle or in the face of a workpiece for confirmation, as well as for various types of intersection screeds, etc.

  2. Blind hole drill bits - are used in cases where it is necessary to drill without the drill going through. For example, for confirming at the end of the workpiece or for any type of shelf holders, for rafix and minifix bolts.

  3. Hinge boring bits - used when milling for furniture hinges 26 mm or 35 mm, as well as for raffixes or minifixes.

Also, drill bits are divided according to the type of execution, or rather the amount of hard alloy deposited on the drill. Depending on the series, drill bits are divided into:

  • Drill bits with brazed inserts - series 110, 120 and 130;
  • Drill bits with brazed carbide block - series 70 and series 90;
  • Drill bits are solid, in which the entire cutting part is made of carbide - series 401 and 501 for through hole drill bits and series 101, 201, and 301 for blind hole drill bits.
