This process was a significant challenge in the past and still causes many issues today. The accuracy of drilled holes directly affects the quality of the final product. Obviously, to ensure maximum precision and flexibility, most manufacturers have chosen CNC machines.
That is why, throughout the entire existence of our company, KD-610 and KD-612 drilling centers in various modifications have been among the most popular machines.
Due to its constructive solutions KDT drilling machines allows to achieve unprecedented accuracy in the manufacturing of furniture parts of different complexity.
Machines are equipped with powerful drill heads and milling spindles, that provide drilling of furniture parts and elements for hardware installation of different complexity with maximum precision. At the same time, the machines allow to perform comprehensive drilling from six sides, which makes them irreplaceable for modern furniture production.
Accurate positioning
Two independent clamps ensure precise positioning and fast movement of workpieces. The clamps are equipped with special rubber pads for maximum reliability and to prevent damage to even the most delicate materials. The clamps move at a speed of 140 m/min, significantly increasing machine productivity and reducing the drilling cycle. Their specialized design ensures secure fixation of small parts of 70x35 mm in size. The clamps are also equipped with KDT’s patented airflow technology.

Drilling of two workpieces
The ability to drill two workpieces simultaneously is an important innovation, doubling productivity and reducing operation time.
Specialized equipment for workpiece movement allows the machine to process workpieces of various sizes, starting from a minimum of 35×70 mm. This significantly reduces the need for additional manufacturing operations and separate highly specialized equipment.

Design
Particular attention should be paid to the machine bed design, which is characterized by increased rigidity, ensuring perfect stability and accuracy even under intense loads. Portal design allows to install powerful spindles on high-speed drives, increasing drilling and milling efficiency.

Tool change
The linear tool changer provides the ability for an automated process, significantly reducing inter-operation setup time. The tool changer allows to essentially extend milling capabilities without spending time on manual tool change.

Drilling groups
KD-612KHSZ model is equipped with three drilling groups (two upper, one bottom), grooving saw, two milling spindles and linear tool chager for five positions. The ability of using units extends milling capabilities even more. The machine performs drilling from six sides in one cycle, that allows to carry out setup for any modern types of furniture hardware with high speed and precision.

Furthermore, KDT actively implements innovative technologies of production control. The machinery is equipped with the ability of network data transmission in common formates (.MPR, .XML, .DXF, .DPP, .CIX), making its integration into production processes as convenient as possible. Workpiece measurement control allows to minimize defects and optimize operation time. Label scanner, which is included into standard kit, automatically specifies the program, that significantly simplifies operator’s work and increases overall productivity.
